what's going on Tyler wandering therapist here I'm out with a great group of guys right now we're just doing a sunrise this morning got thunderstorms in the background it's just awesome beautiful morning temperature is perfect and I just wanted to share a few Thoughts with you I had a really cool experience the other night I was at uh the local high school football game they have this kind of special night where they let the high school kids go up to the the college and play their first game of the season up at the college they do a double header there and one of our our high school our local high school got to be a part of that this year and the game was great and everything but the thing I wanted to share was just this experience I had where I was just sitting by myself watching the game i' take my girls and they were running around with their friends and I was watching the game but right in front of me there were two little kids probably you know maybe a nine or 10 year old kid and then his little sister she looked like she was probably seven six or seven and they got back from the concession stand and they had this pretzel they were like really excited to eat the pretzel and the the boy had the pretzel in his hand and he ripped it and when he ripped it it ripped significantly that one piece was a lot bigger than the other piece and I thought to myself like oh here comes the typical you know Big Brother thing he's going to take the pretzel for himself and give his little sister the shaft and instead what happened is without even batting an eye he just gave his little sister the biggest part and she had a big smile on her face and he just ate a little the little piece that was left and he seemed totally content and I just wanted to throw a shout out to good parents who teach their kids to be selfless and take care of each other but also to good kids who look for ways to take care of each other and you know it did my heart really good to see a big brother take care of his little sister and it got me thinking about the importance of that our own in our own life lives that every one of us in some way is probably the in the role of that same Big Brother towards somebody else in our life that might be in the little sister's role where there's someone who maybe has a little less power or influence or a little less privilege or a little less something else in their life and and maybe just other challenges that they're facing that if they just had a little bit of extra support if they had someone who is looking out for them living in a selfless kind of a way that would be better for everybody and there's real power in knowing your own power enough to be selfless in the way that you approach other people and I got me thinking about just the people in my life I'm so grateful for that have shared the their own goodness and their own influence and their own power so to speak and making my life better and I hope that I'm able to do that for other people I kind of feel like that's one of the things that makes the the quality of life so much better for all of us when we can look for ways is to lift and influence other people by using the gifts that we've been given and sharing them freely so what are your gifts who are the people in your life that can benefit from those gifts I promise that if you use those to benefit their life you're going to benefit your own life and both of you be happier so hope you guys have a great day we'll talk to you later thank you so much for being here with me if you found this to be valuable for you please hit the like And subscribe button if you're facing particular struggles that you need help with or roadblocks that you're running into please submit a question I'd be happy to answer it for [Music] you
