Practicing mindfulness allows us an ability to challenge our daily stresses and convert them into something that offers peace. That sounds ridiculous, but the reality is that our realities are mostly our own perception. When we "own" our perception through mindfulness, we find Joy, Peace, Power, Freedom and Love.
